Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

OXWAG Technologies is the developer and publisher of ToolsOx. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the ToolsOx Android application, package name com.toolsox.app, or visit ToolsOx.com, including its tools, pages, and server-backed features. In this policy, “ToolsOx,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to OXWAG Technologies.

A third-party website, app, speech engine, scanner component, advertising partner, or other service has its own privacy practices. This policy does not replace the policy of a third party that you deliberately use through ToolsOx.

2. Information we handle

Information entered into tools

ToolsOx tools may receive text, numbers, dates, URLs, domains, public identifiers, images, documents, audio selections, or other values that you choose to provide. How that information is handled depends on the tool:

• Local tools: processing occurs on the device or in the browser and the input is not intentionally sent to a ToolsOx server.
• Online tools: the request value needed to perform the selected lookup or download is transmitted to a ToolsOx server, the relevant public destination, or another service needed to return the result.
• User-initiated sharing: when you use Android's share sheet, save a result, open a link, send an email, or export a file, the content is transferred to the destination that you select.

Do not submit passwords, private keys, authentication tokens, confidential URLs, protected health information, or other sensitive data to a public network lookup or server-backed tool.

Technical and usage information

Depending on the service used, technical information may include IP address, IP-derived approximate location, browser or device type, operating-system and app version, language, requested page or endpoint, request time, referring page, app launch and interaction events, advertising interactions, crash-related or diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers.

Communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, and attachments. Android feedback and problem-report actions first open your email application; nothing is sent until you choose to send it. A prepared problem report may include the ToolsOx version, Android version, API level, manufacturer, and device model, but it does not automatically attach tool input, selected files, screenshots, app logs, or advertising identifiers.

3. Android app: local processing

Most Android tools are designed to process text, numbers, dates, images, and documents locally. Local processing is not the same as collecting data: information that remains on the device is not received by OXWAG Technologies.

• Image and document tools use Android's system picker so the app receives access only to items that you select.
• Selected files are not scanned in the background and the app does not request broad storage access.
• Magnifier and Live Color Detector use camera frames for the visible preview, zoom, and color sampling. ToolsOx does not upload or retain those frames.
• Document Scanner and QR/Barcode Scanner use on-device scanner components provided through Google Play services. A component may require a one-time download before first use.
• Measurement and compass tools read available device sensors while their workspace is in use. Readings are not retained or transmitted by ToolsOx.
• Text to Speech passes text to the speech engine selected on the device. An installed provider determines whether a voice is local or network-based.

4. Android app: microphone and speech

Microphone permission is requested only after you start Speech to Text or another clearly identified audio-input feature. Audio is handed to the Android speech-recognition service installed or selected on the device. ToolsOx prefers on-device recognition when Android reports it as available, but another recognition provider may transmit or process audio under that provider's terms. ToolsOx does not create a background recording and does not send microphone audio to a ToolsOx server.

5. Android app: online tools

Some tools need live public information, such as DNS, domain, website, network, public-media metadata, or other internet-based results. When you deliberately run one of these tools, the host, URL, public identifier, search value, or other request data needed for the operation is sent over the network. The receiving service can also observe normal connection information such as your IP address, user agent, and request time. ToolsOx does not run these lookups as background surveillance.

Availability and privacy depend on the destination service. A public result may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or subject to that service's terms.

6. Android app: advertising and consent

ToolsOx is free and advertiser-supported. The Android app uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform. Google states that its Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares the following categories for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes:

• IP address, which may be used to estimate approximate location;
• app interactions, including app launches, taps, and video views;
• diagnostic information, such as app or SDK performance, launch time, hangs, and energy usage; and
• device or account identifiers, which may include the Android advertising ID, app set ID, and other applicable identifiers.

Google reports that this SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Depending on region, age treatment, device settings, consent status, and ad availability, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited. Where Google's privacy options are required and available, you can reopen them from ToolsOx Settings. You can also reset or delete the advertising ID through supported Android settings.

Banner or native ads are kept outside tool inputs, results, and primary action controls. Optional rewarded ads must be started by the user, and declining one does not lock a core tool. App-open, interstitial, and rewarded formats share a maximum of six displayed full-screen ads within a rolling 24-hour period, with at least ten minutes between full-screen displays. Consent, Focus Mode, loading, eligibility, and safety checks may result in fewer ads.

7. Android permissions and platform capabilities

ToolsOx does not request contacts, precise or approximate location permission, SMS, call logs, phone state, accessibility-service access, device-administrator access, notification permission, or broad storage access. IP-derived approximate location used by advertising services does not require Android location permission.

8. Information stored locally by the Android app

The app stores limited state on the device, which may include:

• favorite and recent-tool identifiers;
• app preferences and privacy/consent state;
• timestamps used to enforce advertising frequency limits; and
• the expiration time of an optional Focus Mode reward.

Clearing ToolsOx app storage or uninstalling the app removes this local state.

9. ToolsOx website

Browser and server tools

Many website tools run in the browser. Other tools use ToolsOx server endpoints to retrieve a public page, proxy a download, inspect public headers, or obtain current public metadata. For a server-backed tool, ToolsOx and the relevant destination receive the request value needed to perform that action. Because some server tools receive values in a request URL, those values may also appear in ordinary infrastructure or security logs. Do not place secrets in a server-backed tool.

Standard website and server logs may contain IP address, user agent, requested page or endpoint, request time, response status, and security events. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

Analytics, tags, cookies, and local storage

ToolsOx.com uses Google Analytics 4 when configured and may use Google Tag Manager to load or manage measurement tags. These technologies may process page views, referral information, interactions, browser and device details, IP-derived approximate location, and cookie or device identifiers. Restricted administration

The public ToolsOx website does not offer consumer account registration. Restricted administrative accounts may store an authorized administrator's name, email address, password hash, session data, role, and security settings for site operation and access control.

10. How and why information is used

We or our service providers use applicable information to:

• provide the tool, lookup, download, export, or support action requested by the user;
• operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve ToolsOx;
• remember local preferences, favorites, recents, and consent state;
• display, measure, limit, and secure advertising;
• understand aggregate website or app usage and performance;
• detect fraud, abuse, automated attacks, and policy violations; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.

11. Legal bases

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on: performance of the service you request; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving ToolsOx; consent for advertising, cookies, or similar technologies where required; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent through the available consent or device controls without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

12. Disclosure, service providers, and sale of data

We may disclose applicable information to infrastructure, analytics, security, scanner, speech, and advertising providers that help deliver ToolsOx; to a destination you choose through a tool or share action; when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety; or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell tool input or user-selected files for money. Some privacy laws define personalized advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising as “sale” or “sharing” even when no money changes hands. Where applicable, use the consent choices in ToolsOx Settings, Android advertising controls, and available Google privacy controls to limit that processing.

13. Data retention

• Local Android state remains until it is cleared, overwritten through normal use, or removed by uninstalling the app.
• ToolsOx does not maintain a consumer account profile for Android app users.
• Operational and security logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for service operation, security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations.
• Support communications are retained as needed to answer the request, maintain support records, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
• Google and other external providers apply their own retention schedules to information they process.

14. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your device, region, and applicable law, you may:

• deny or revoke camera and microphone permission through Android Settings;
• choose which file or media item to open through Android's picker;
• avoid online tools and continue using available local tools;
• decline an optional rewarded ad;
• reopen available advertising privacy choices from ToolsOx Settings;
• reset or delete the Android advertising ID and adjust supported ad-privacy settings;
• manage website cookies or use Google's analytics opt-out controls;
• clear the app's local data or uninstall the app; and
• request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability for personal information we control, where applicable.

A request must contain enough information for us to understand and verify it. We cannot delete information held only on your device; you control that information through app data settings and uninstall controls. We also cannot directly delete data controlled independently by Google or another third party, but we can direct you to the relevant provider.

15. Security

We use safeguards appropriate to the service, including Android application isolation, system file pickers, restricted runtime permissions, HTTPS/TLS where supported, bounded input handling, access controls, and separation between tool workspaces. No app, device, storage system, or transmission method is perfectly secure. Keep original files, verify important output, protect access to your device, and do not enter secrets into public lookups.

16. Children and target audience

ToolsOx is intended for adults and is listed for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly create consumer profiles for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

17. International processing

ToolsOx and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy laws and government-access rules may differ. Where required, we rely on consent, contractual protections, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms used by the relevant provider.

18. Third-party links and services

ToolsOx may link to public websites, app stores, email clients, social platforms, media services, or other apps. Opening or sharing to a third party is under your control, and that third party's terms and privacy policy apply after the transfer.

19. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when ToolsOx, its permissions, SDKs, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
